I am married to Nicholas Graff and we have two children, Madison (8) and Jacob
(5). I am originally from Chattanooga, TN and my husband is from St. Louis, MO. We currently reside in Jacksonville,
NC, home of Marine Corps Base Camp LeJeune.
I like watching movies and listening to music. I love a day of pampering at
the spa. I like going to the beach. I like going for a run at 0730 on a Sunday when there is noone out except me and the birds.
I love thunderstorms late in summer evenings. I love the fall-its my favorite season. The air is crisp, the leaves are ballerinas
in the air with orange, red, yellow and brown leotards. I love college football on Saturday afternoons and the smell of fireplaces
burning in the fall dusk. I look forward to sitting in my car on the way home from work and listening to my daughter and son
sing and talk about random subjects when they think I am not listening.

Since
2005, I have instructed Arabic full-time at Coastal Carolina Community College-working in Partnership with the II
Marine Expeditionary Forces. I am responsible for getting 30 Marines and Sailors of all ages and education levels to
achieve a 0+ level of listening and speaking (Survival Level per the International Language Roundtable) in Arabic. I
have 20, eight-hour class days to accomplish these objectives. It is a difficult task and it has many obstacles,
challenges and pressures, but I
cannot see myself in any other profession in the world.

I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1997 as a 2671 Arabic Cryptologic Linguist/Ground
Electronic Warfare Technician. I attended the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California from 1998-2000.
I then went on for more technical training in Texas and then onto my duty station at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia.
I was awarded Company D Marine of the Year 2001 and several other kudos for
my performance and aptitude. I served on several fundraising and special event committees and was editor and publisher
of our Company newsletter. I was honorably discharged in November 2002.
In March 2003, I was reactivated in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring
Freedom. I served in Iraq and I lived in the Presidential Palace for a month while performing my duties, and was honorably
discharged again in June 2003.
