The
community data is fairly representative of my school / classroom composition. Since
I have Marines and Sailors and that is what the population of Jacksonville and Camp LeJeune is made of there are many similarities.
There are many more males than females, 18-24 year olds are the average age group, there is a larger quantity of White
students than non-White students, a majority of Marines / Sailors have a high school diploma or higher, the average income
is $35-$55,000, over 80% are married and/or have children, and very few actually own their homes or property.
